Kwik Star stores will soon change their setup as Kwik Trip phases out roller grills that featured hot dogs + tornados, after tests showed that hot grab-and-go cases boost sales; this follows a similar change by Murphy USA last year.
🏈 Sports
Wednesday night, The Locker Room was broadcast live from Grumpy’s Roadhouse in Waverly on Y99.3 (7:00-8:00 p.m.) and featured interviews with Waverly-Shell Rock football and volleyball players and coaches, as well as highlights from last week's Go-Hawk win.
On Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Webster City, the Waverly-Shell Rock boys finished third behind Nevada and Gilbert, with Matthew Hommowun placing seventh.
At the Newman Invitational, the Go-Hawk girls finished with Kate Nelson in fifth + Allison Kay in eighth.
Tuesday, the Wartburg Knights competed in several sports.
The men’s soccer team won 3-0 over Cornell, the women’s soccer team tied 1-1 with St. Olaf, the women’s tennis team beat Grand View 4-3 — the volleyball team lost to Illinois Wesleyan and Aurora.
