Cedar Falls native Jack Campbell is still hospitalized, and KGAN says “preliminary indications are positive.” The Lions linebacker went down on the first play of the fourth quarter Sunday after tackling fellow Iowa alum T.J. Hockenson. He stayed motionless for more than 10 minutes before he was carted off on a backboard.

The Lions said in a 6:08 p.m. statement Sunday that he'd stay overnight for continued evaluation and monitoring. He was alert and breathing when he left Ford Field. Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson said after the game, "We're all praying for him."

The Wrap

Speaking of Cedar Falls hoops, two former Cedar Falls players are teammates again. Grace Knutson and Karis Finley helped lead Cedar Falls to the 2024 state semifinals, and now they share the court for Drake women's basketball. Knutson is in her third year with the Bulldogs, and Finley is a freshman. Nice to see a reunion.
