Waterloo Police investigated the alleged robbery of a pizza delivery driver on Sunday night when she was ambushed near 409 Edwards Street just before 11:00 p.m. by three men + one of whom reportedly had a gun and took her pizza and money.
A 15-year-old boy was charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Going Armed, Intimidation with a Weapon and Use of a Weapon in a Crime after he allegedly fired an AR-15 outside 1724 Mulberry Street Sunday night, with one round striking a woman in the leg while other shots killed 20-year-old A’tarion Spates for whom he was not charged—he was released to Juvenile Court Services.
Starting Tuesday, July 15, at 8:00 a.m., Canadian National Railroad will close Leversee Road between West Airline Highway/Lincoln Street and Rail Way for repairs, with full closure of both crossings.
The road will reopen by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22—and drivers can use Lone Tree Road and Dunkerton Road on the north side and Lincoln Street and West Airline Highway on the south side.
