During Monday's sentencing for voluntary manslaughter in the death of Rebecca Taylor, a relative struck Lamarcus Williams on the side of his head as he approached the witness stand & another family member spat in his hair while a deputy restored order, and Williams was sentenced to up to 10 years to be served consecutively to his probation sentence.

Beginning Tuesday, May 27, PCI will fully close West Viking Road from Union Road to the roundabout at Innovation Drive for reconstruction—residents will use a temporary access road and a detour using Union Road, University Avenue and Hudson Road while the work is expected to last four months.
