- ➤ A Des Moines woman (19-year-old Tana Potter) was arrested on Sunday for allegedly threatening to post nude photos and videos of a Cedar Falls woman and her sister unless paid $600 and she faces charges of extortion and third degree harassment while held in Black Hawk County Jail. Y99.3

- ➤ TheatreUNI is presenting 'Timeless Journeys'—a play written and produced by students who gathered imaginative stories from older adults at Western Home Communities. The free performance opens Friday at 7 p.m. at the Bertha Martin Theatre, with additional showings on May 14 at 7 p.m. and May 16 at 10 a.m. at the Diamond Event Center. Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Bremer Avenue Bridge replacement is delayed from its planned finish on September 1 to November 28 because problems in construction pushed the timeline back. Pete Hjelmstad said workers will return to the river by the end of this week or early next week — a change that will affect project schedules — as officials update plans. Y99.3

- ➤ Tuesday in boys golf, Waverly-Shell Rock (the Go-Hawks) competed at Cedar Rapids Country Club and finished 2nd behind Solon with a score of 323. Tyler Gade (top performer) scored a 78, finishing 3rd. Y99.3
- ➤ Tuesday night, the Denver boys soccer team beat Charles City 4-1 — freshman Tarek Knoblock scored twice while Isak Froyum-Roise and Andrea Garello each scored, and the Cyclones moved to a 5-6-1 season record. Y99.3
