- ➤ Residents in Cedar Falls are invited to join the Merry & Bright Holiday Lights Tour (register your home by December 8) to display festive holiday lights. Families will enjoy a twinkling tour (a map will show registered homes) as a way to celebrate the season. City of Cedar Falls

- ➤ Registration is open for the University of Northern Iowa’s Pack the Dome event held in the UNI-Dome — in partnership with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and the Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley — and participants are invited to join on Jan. 19. Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier

- ➤ The City of Cedar Falls will enforce a snow emergency for downtown and College Hill starting at 8:00 p.m. on December 3 and lasting until 7:00 a.m. on December 4—parking is banned on marked streets and vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. City of Cedar Falls
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Iowa State’s wrestling team beat Iowa 20+14 on Sunday, marking their first win since 2004 as Waverly-Shell Rock grad Ryder Block upset second-ranked Paniro Johnson. The volleyball teams learned they will face new opponents in the NCAA Tournament, with Iowa State set to play St+Thomas and UNI to play Utah in the opening round. Y99.3
- ➤ Monday night, the UNI men’s basketball team beat Coe by 99 to 34 in a game that set a record with a 65 point win. Trey Campbell passed the 1,000 point mark in the game + marking a new milestone for the team. Y99.3
