  • The Metro Boys High School Basketball teams played in the Metro Jamboree on Tuesday at Waterloo Columbus — Waterloo East beat Denver 27—24, Waterloo West outscored Cedar Ridge Christian 25—16, Cedar Falls defeated Benton Community 40—24, and Waterloo Columbus overcame Don Bosco 31—16.  Iowa's Corn Country
  • Area boys were named All-State by the Iowa Football Coaches Association as players earned spots on 1st and 2nd Teams across classes, with Matthew Langner and Ian Sedgwick from Class 4A earning 2nd Team honors, Cody Koepke in 2A receiving 1st Team recognition, and others from Sumner-Fredericksburg, Wapsie Valley and Don Bosco also honored—showing strong local talent.  Y99.3
  • Tuesday night, the UNI volleyball team swept Drake at the McLeod Center to win the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament for the fourth season in a row — the men's basketball team beat Loyola 72-51.  Y99.3
