- ➤ Wartburg football won its fourth consecutive American Rivers Conference by beating Buena Vista 63-20 Saturday and earned a playoff bye—its next game will be against Wheaton or Crown on November 29 in Waverly, with all playoff games hosted locally except the National Championship in Canton on January 4. Wartburg cross country teams will run this Saturday in Spartansburg, South Carolina—men ranked second nationally and the women earning an at-large bid. Y99.3
- ➤ Following last week’s semifinals, pairings have been set for the High School State Football Championships at the UNI-Dome.
