Cedar Falls Fire Rescue responded to a call about a combine fire at Jepsen and Westbrook roads—large flames and smoke were reported, though no injuries occurred.

Hansen Elementary and Holmes Junior High in Cedar Falls were placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after a nearby situation led school officials to bring students indoors.

Students remained in their classrooms until an all clear was given — the details of the incident remain unclear.
