Farmers State Bank entered an agreement to acquire Central State Bank pending regulatory approval & the deal will strengthen its operations in Waterloo.

Hawkeye Community College’s board approved seeking bids on $15 million in general obligation bonds on Tuesday for constructing Butler Hall and the Challenger Center.

The approval sets the stage for upcoming construction projects at the college.

Black Hawk County Supervisors approved changing the dangerous intersection at Dubuque Road at North Canfield Road into a four-way stop, adding stop signs, rumble strips and message boards to alert drivers (the intersection is rated the county's second most dangerous) and is located east of Raymond and south of Dunkerton.

Tuesday night on KWAY Country, the third ranked Western Dubuque volleyball team beat the thirteenth ranked Waverly Shell Rock team in four sets (25 to 10, 25 to 18, 18 to 25, 26 to 24) as Amalia Djoumessi led with 12 kills and 3 blocks.
