Cedar Falls Public Safety is joining the Pink Patch Project this October to support breast cancer awareness by allowing officers to wear pink patches and by using a pink-striped police SUV on patrol.

The department will also sell pink patches and apparel at various community events, with all proceeds going to the local Beyond Pink TEAM (a local group).

The week 5 Radio Iowa High School Football poll lists six local teams, with Cedar Falls holding a 3-1 record as the ninth-ranked team in Class 5A + teams like Waukee Northwest and Iowa City West also achieving strong records across classes.
