The West High basketball court was renamed the Dr. Anthony W.
Pappas Court after the Waterloo Schools’ Board of Education made the decision on Monday. The change honors Dr. Pappas’s legacy and will be used during school activities.

A section of West 22nd Street between Merner Avenue and the University of Iowa Book Store is closed today for pavement removal — work is expected to resume in 10 weeks based on weather conditions.
