- ➤ Officers with the Violent Crime Apprehension Team arrested the 32 year old Javonta Herbert from Waterloo after searching his home in August and finding a stolen gun—reportedly tossed from a window—and K2 synthetic marijuana with drug paraphernalia, and he now faces charges for firearm possession, theft, and drug intent. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City's contractor Peterson Contractors, Inc.—which is set to remove and replace the box culvert on Union Road just south of West 27th Street—will start work on Wednesday, September 10, and the road will be fully closed for about three months pending weather.
