- ➤ An 18-year-old from Waterloo was arrested on a charge of second degree burglary after allegedly taking $150 from a car during an attempted drug deal on Sunday night in the 500 block of West Fourth Street; police later located him near his Randolph Street home. Y99.3

- ➤ Wartburg football is ranked #9 in the AFCA poll but did not have a player on the preseason All America Teams—head coach Chris Winter said he is either flattered or frustrated by the omission.
