  • An 18-year-old from Waterloo was arrested on a charge of second degree burglary after allegedly taking $150 from a car during an attempted drug deal on Sunday night in the 500 block of West Fourth Street; police later located him near his Randolph Street home.  Y99.3

  • Wartburg football is ranked #9 in the AFCA poll but did not have a player on the preseason All America Teams—head coach Chris Winter said he is either flattered or frustrated by the omission. The team will kickoff on September 6th at 7:00 p.m. and fans can listen to the season on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.  Y99.3
  • Last night in Metro high school volleyball, Cedar Falls swept Cedar Rapids Prairie as senior libero Anni Wedgebury set a school record with her 1,184th career dig—Tigers coach Matt Johnson also reached his 700th win.
