GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Heavy rainfall in July delayed the Bremer Avenue Bridge replacement project—a DOT Field Services Coordinator Pete Hjelmstad said beams could be set by the end of the month. The project is set to finish—on November 28. Y99.3
- ➤ Paving for the overlay on C-33 will begin today—according to the Bremer County Highway Department—and the road will stay open in one lane with flaggers, so drivers should expect delays. Y99.3
- ➤ Starting on Monday, August 11, Wicks Construction will close the westerly half of the Hudson Road Bridge just south of University Avenue for repair work—traffic on Hudson Road will shift to the easterly half as crews flip control in about six weeks and finish by the end of October.
