Waterloo Police are investigating a shooting in the 100 block of Sherman Avenue early Sunday morning that left one man with multiple gunshot wounds to his arm, shoulder & backside and he was taken to a nearby hospital with no arrests made so far.
On Monday, July 21, a contractor began reconstructing the alley from East 10th Street to East 11th Street between State Street and Bluff Street, and the alley was closed for three to four weeks (weather permitting) to keep residents safe from heavy equipment movement.
The Cedar Falls Health Trust Fund Board is seeking grant applicants to access part of the $382,000 available for local health care projects.
