SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Seven local high school players, including Cedar Falls’ Jarret Kies, will join others in the 53rd annual Iowa Shrine Bowl Saturday at the UNI-Dome. The game—featuring 92 top seniors and raising funds for Shriners Children Hospitals—will begin at 4 p.m. Iowa's Corn Country
- ➤ The Cedar Falls Tiger baseball team will play a Class 4A substate final today at Cedar Rapids Prairie—after a 5 to 4 walk-off win in the semifinals on Monday, they aim for their third state trip in five years with a 22 to 15 record. Iowa's Corn Country
- ➤ Three area schools will compete in the high school State Softball Tournament next week in Fort Dodge where all games will be held at Harlan Rogers Park.
