Cedar Falls Lions Club will host its annual pancake breakfast Sunday from 7 a.m. to 12 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church — community members are invited to enjoy a morning meal that supports local programs.
Fairbank Island Days kicked off Thursday with an inflatable park and Island events including Cops and Bobbers, beer garden and music at 5:00 plus Miss Fairbank crowning at 7:00.
The aquatic center hosted a night swim from 7:00 to 10:00.

On Thursday night, the top-ranked Clarksville Indians will host the 14-5 Grundy Center Spartans in a high school softball game broadcast on Y99.3; pregame begins at 4:45 and first pitch is set for 5:00.
