Cedar Falls will host Coffee with the City events this summer—on Tuesday, June 17 at Hurts Donut, Friday, July 18 at Sarah’s Espresso Café, and Wednesday, August 27 at Hurts Donut—to give residents a chance to meet City Administrator Ron Gaines, Mayor Danny Laudick, and staff to ask about city projects. Hurts Donut will serve a free cup of House Coffee at their event.
The Cedar Falls Historic Preservation Commission finished a street-side survey of Overman Park properties with help from volunteers and a professional consultant funded by the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office and National Park Service.
The Commission will share its findings and discuss next steps at a public event on June 17 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall (220 Clay Street) in the Council Chambers Foyer.
Workers resumed work on the Bremer Avenue Bridge on Monday by entering the Cedar River to pour concrete today — DOT Field Service Coordinator Pete Hjelmstad said horizontal beams will start in a couple months and the project is set to finish by November 28th.
