ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Cedar Falls man, Brady Tyler (25), was injured in downtown Waterloo on Monday afternoon when 62-year-old Lori Thomas failed to stop at a red light at about 4:45 p.m. and struck his Chevy Tahoe; he was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Allen Hospital (his condition is unknown) as details of a Waterloo Police patrol vehicle's role remain unclear. - ➤ On Monday, June 9th, the contractor will close Main Street at the intersection of 18th Street to begin the final phase of the reconstruction project. The work will include pavement removal, new water main, sanitary and storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, and sidewalk updates, with a 12-week closure (drivers must follow the detour to Waterloo Road/West 12th Street while local side streets remain open).
