A man evaded arrest after a stolen Ford Fusion hit a house at 601 Gable Street on Tuesday night when officers tried to stop him near Gable and Manson Streets at around 11:30 p.m. and no one was hurt.
🎭 Culture
The Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum will open on Memorial Day and offer free admission to veterans and active duty military.
The museum plans to honor those who have served on this important day.
🏛️ Government
The City of Cedar Falls reminded residents that temporary decorations at gravestones for Memorial Day must be removed within three days after the holiday so staff can keep cemeteries neat—guidelines also ban glass bottles, artificial flowers, and other items that could damage the grounds during mowing.
Cedar Falls announced today that City Hall, the public library, the Hearst Center for the Arts, the visitor center, the community center, and the recreation and fitness center will be closed on Memorial Day.
