A New Hartford man named Duane Baker was arrested Thursday after he escaped from Waterloo Residential Facility on April 30, where he was held for a methamphetamine conspiracy charge and was scheduled for release on May 9—police said he had ingested fentanyl during a mental health crisis.
A Missouri man, 35-year-old Timothy Peck, was arrested for allegedly using fake coupons to buy cartons of Newport cigarettes from Casey's Stores in Waterloo in December — officials say the scheme cost Casey's $2,000 and he has been charged with second degree theft.
