Farmers market season is starting as the largest outdoor markets open Saturday in Cedar Falls and Waterloo (other markets will open on weekdays or later this spring).

Grout Museum will host Camp Curious on May 8 as a series of day camps for kids (ages 6 to 12) on Waterloo no-school days.
The program will offer engaging educational activities for local children.
🏛️ Government
Black Hawk County Road Department will begin spraying county roadsides on Friday as part of its Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management program — aimed at weed control.
🏈 Sports
On Tuesday, the Wartburg men's golf team ended its season with a 4th-place finish at the A-R-Ch Championship, with Vaughn Tyler earning All Conference honors.
Also on Tuesday, the tennis team beat Nebraska Wesleyan 4-1 (advancing to a semifinal match with Coe on Wednesday).
