At its meeting Monday night, the Waterloo School Board considered changing high school boundaries so that students living north of the river attend East High to balance enrollment—if approved, the new boundaries will go into effect next school year while the combined high school opens in Fall 2028.

Cedar Falls Public Safety will host the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at its building so residents can drop off unwanted or expired prescription drugs or request a home pick-up (remember to remove personal information from labels on original containers), while IV solutions, injectables, syringes, illegal drugs, and vape pens without removed batteries will not be accepted.
