- ➤ A 32-year-old convict, Jayvon Sanford II, escaped from the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility after he failed to return, police said; he was admitted in October and is now wanted for a June 2022 stabbing at the Voodoo Lounge in Cedar Falls that injured a man and a staff member (he is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 315 pounds). - ➤ The Hearst Center for the Arts will host an art supply swap meet as part of Artisans in the Garden on July 13 from 1:00–3:30 p.m. in Cedar Falls—community members can drop off gently used arts and craft supplies from April 1 through June 30 to trade or donate and support art programs.
