- ➤ A 32-year-old convict, Jayvon Sanford II, escaped from the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility after he failed to return, police said; he was admitted in October and is now wanted for a June 2022 stabbing at the Voodoo Lounge in Cedar Falls that injured a man and a staff member (he is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 315 pounds). - ➤ The Hearst Center for the Arts will host an art supply swap meet as part of Artisans in the Garden on July 13 from 1:00–3:30 p.m. in Cedar Falls—community members can drop off gently used arts and craft supplies from April 1 through June 30 to trade or donate and support art programs. - ➤ Beginning tomorrow—April 10, the city-hired contractor will close a part of the eastbound lane on West 20th Street between Merner Avenue and College Street. City of Cedar Falls

- ➤ Wartburg athletes Hanah Luellen and Brooke Bloom were honored by the American Rivers Conference — Luellen was named Softball Pitcher of the Week while Bloom was named Women’s Tennis Player of the Week. Y99.3
- ➤ On Monday night, Waterloo Columbus earned its first season win by defeating Northeast Iowa United 11-1 in the final 7 minutes, with Iggy Hasselbrook and Vincent Pragner each recording hat tricks and additional goals coming from John Novotney, Solomon Thang, and Chiss Hasselbrook. In other matches, Denver boys edged Waterloo East 2-1 while Denver girls beat Union 6-1. Y99.3
