Hawkeye's AmeriCorps Senior Companion Program celebrated 50 years by matching senior volunteers with local residents who need help with housework and rides.
The program continues to offer support and friendly company to community members + help seniors stay independent.
The Cedar Bend Humane Society is asking local residents to donate food and litter until April 15 at its shelter and community drop-off points.

Wartburg men’s wrestling was honored on April 3 by the American Rivers Conference; 10 Knights were named All-Conference, Kasey Ross as MVP, Kade Blume as Rookie, and Eric Keller as Coach of the Year for the 5th time, and won its 17th National Championship, ranking 12th in the Directors Cup.
