- ➤ A 13-year-old was arrested for burglarizing a Sidecar Coffee store in Waterloo when an employee found its drive-up window broken on March 27th at 5:15 a.m.—security cameras recorded the minor at the scene around 12:30 a.m. and a tablet along with other items were later recovered behind the Dupaco Credit Union. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Cedar Falls unveiled its initial draft vision statement and five focus areas for the Charting Tomorrow initiative that began in early 2025, drawing on feedback from over 400 community survey responses—resident focus groups and city staff. - ➤ Starting Monday, April 7, the City's contractor PCI will close the roundabout at West Viking Road and Innovation Drive for installation of truck aprons, splitter island brickwork, and landscaping work linked to the West Viking Road Reconstruction and Trail Project — a detour on South Union Road, University Avenue, Hudson Road, and Production Drive will serve traffic as work lasts one month.
