Mid-America Publishing (owner of 19 Iowa newspapers and four shoppers) announced it will cease operations on April 2; several affected publications have issued final statements.
🎓 Education
Fifty-three teams from seven states participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition Iowa Regional that was held Thursday through Saturday at the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.
UNI is marking its 150th anniversary by celebrating campus milestones in Cedar Falls (Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at 25 years, the UNI-Dome at 50 years, and another facility at 100 years).
The university is looking to the future while honoring its past.

Ben Jacobson, UNI's winningest men's basketball coach, announced his departure as he takes the head coach job at Utah State.
He spent 20 seasons leading the Panthers and won 397 games (including five NCAA Tournament bids with a Sweet Sixteen run).
