- ➤ The Hearst Center for the Arts is hosting a free Business of Art series for creative entrepreneurs led by experts. - ➤ Rodney Carrington will perform at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on Saturday, August 9 — his comedy tour is set to draw a crowd. - ➤ The City of Cedar Falls is planning burns at several local sites this week—at North Cedar Natural Resource along Longview Street on Wednesday and at wetland and prairie areas on Hudson Road and near Pheasant Drive—to control invasive species and restore native plant communities.
