CRIME NEWS

  • A North Iowa family is asking for help finding 17-year-old Breannah St. Germaine, who was last seen in Rockwell on Thursday after running away in an unstable state and may be in Charles City (she is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds) with authorities urging anyone with tips to call police (officials are investigating the case).  Y99.3

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The City of Cedar Falls will conduct a prescribed burn tomorrow at the North Cedar Natural Resource area at 425 to 713 Longview Street to control invasive plants and restore native species. Additional burns will take place at the UNI wetland on 2001 Hudson Road, the Pheasant Ridge Golf Course prairie area along the 12th Street Trail, and a corner prairie near Pheasant Drive and Kaspend Place during the week of March 24—weather permitting the City will update the public if plans change.  City of Cedar Falls
