St. Paul's UMC hosts a beef and noodle dinner fundraiser on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The event offers all-you-can-eat beef and noodles, potatoes, coleslaw + beverages, and dessert for $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and younger at the church.

Kerry Sutherland is no longer buying Waterloo's All-In Grocers after it closed temporarily in Fall 2024 for reorganization; the previous owner had put the store up for sale a month later.
🎓 Education
Hoover Middle School's music department hosts a can drive on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.—students will collect glass, plastic, and aluminum beverage containers directly from vehicles.
🏈 Sports
Iowa State beat Texas Tech 75-53 on Thursday in the Big 12 Tournament and the Cyclones will face Arizona at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN Friday.
Thursday’s Boys State Basketball Tournament semifinals saw Cedar Falls beat Dowling and Johnston beat Waukee, among other wins.
Friday’s championship games will be at Casey’s Center—Ballard vs ADM at 1:00, Cedar Falls vs Johnston at 3:00, St. Edmond vs Marquette at 5:00 and Kuemper vs Unity Christian at 7:00.
Four area girls will compete in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association's annual Larry Niemeyer Senior Girls Basketball Games tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. at Cedar Falls High School; Hailey Kipp, Paige Kampmann, Hannah Wangsness, and Brittney Bodensteiner will represent teams from Dunkerton, Clarksville, and Waverly-Shell Rock.
