- ➤ At Wednesday Boys State Basketball games, Kuemper defeated Union Community 70-54, Treynor overcame Grundy Center 57-48, Unity Christian edged Western Christian 70-64, and Regina beat Aplington-Parkersburg 76-54, while Ballard won 57-55 over Carroll and ADM won 72-70 in overtime over Storm Lake. - ➤ Iowa beat Maryland 75 to 64 on Wednesday in the Big Ten Tournament and will face Ohio State at 11:00 a.m. Thursday on the Big Ten Network. Y99.3
- ➤ Iowa State beat Arizona State 91-42 on Wednesday in the men’s Big 12 Tournament — the Cyclones will play Texas Tech today at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN in the quarterfinals. Y99.3
- ➤ The Iowa Girls Coaches Association announced its All-State Teams today, honoring area athletes including Cedar Falls' Karis Finley on the Class 5A third team. Other honorees include Dunkerton's Kylee Pexa (first team in Class 1A) and Clarksville's Paige Kampmann (second team). Y99.3
