Holmes Junior High has released its first semester honor roll for the 2025-26 school year — recognizing students for excellent academic performance.
The Board of Trustees at Hawkeye Community College approved a nearly 3% tuition increase for next year—raising the rate to $241 per credit hour including a student activity fee—to help maintain quality services.

The Dunkerton girls beat Ed-Co 67-44 on Wednesday night to secure a spot in the 1A State Tournament with 17-point performances by Hailey Kipp and Kylee Pexa (the team is the 5-seed and will face 4-seed Lynnville Sully on March 4 at 3:15 on Y99.3).
