- ➤ Thursday night, the Wartburg wrestling team beat Loras 26-6 to secure the American Rivers Conference title for their 6th straight season — marking a sustained achievement in local sports. Y99.3
- ➤ The Class 1A boys District Tournament basketball game was broadcast on Y99.3 last Friday with the Tripoli Panthers (5-16) hosting the Clarksville Indians (4-17) as pregame began at 6:45 p.m. and tipoff occurred at 7:00 p.m. Y99.3
- ➤ On Thursday night, the UNI women beat Illinois State 91-79 while the Panther men lost 91-86 to Belmont in college basketball. Y99.3
- ➤ Today, Y99.3 airs the Class 2A girls Regional Tournament game as the 8-13 Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars host the 6-16 Wapsie Valley Warriors (pregame is at 6:45 p.m., tip-off at 7:00 p.m.). Y99.3
- ➤ On Saturday, KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 will cover Waverly-Shell Rock wrestling at the State Qualifying Meet in Cedar Falls (coverage begins at 10:00 a.m.). Y99.3
- ➤ Thursday night, the Clarsksville girls beat Northwood-Kensett 60-40 led by Paige Kampman's 27 points to advance to Mason City Newman, and Janesville edged Don Bosco 64-36 with Keke Smith's 21 as they moved to face North Linn.
